In an exciting new partnership with the University of Chicago Department of Music, the Chicago World Music Chorus moves to Hyde Park!
Led by Patty Cuyler& Mollie Stone, the chorus meets one Sunday a month from 1-4pm from November 2018 thru April 2019 in Fulton Recital Hall at the University of Chicago, 5845 S. Ellis Ave.
The Chicago World Music Chorus is designed for the amateur or professional singer who might be looking for an opportunity to experiment with new choral genres and repertoire, but who doesn't have a lot of free time to commit to rehearsals. We are non-auditioned, and because so much of our repertoire is taught by example rather than from scores, you don't need to sightread music fluently or have a lot of prior singing experience—although both of those attributes are welcome—to join.
Tuition for the season is $150. We offer a self-chosen option of $100 for anyone who needs to pay less, as well as an option to pay more if you wish to support the chorus with a donationwhen you register. The chorus is free for UChicago students.
