As social media enters its teenage years it has seen usage spread to all parts of the globe and new platforms emerge. We live in an always-on culture where people have more access to content than ever before as a net result we have access to more data than ever before. At Twitter we have been exploring how consumers utilise the platforms and the role they play in the lives of users. Using a broad range of techniques from quantitative statistical modelling to ethnographic deep dives and neuroscience we have also attempted to solve marketers key questions on how best to use communicate to potential new consumers. This seminar will share some of the key learnings we have to date and provide some insights into the potential changes to come.
