Difficulty turning in assignments? Disorganized backpack? Poor time management? In this workshop, participants will learn how executive functioning impacts students' ability to plan and organize for success. Participants will learn strategies to be implemented at home and school to support executive functioning and organizational success. This workshop will also outline strategies that can be used to help bridge the gap between home and school. Additionally, participants will learn age appropriate systems of reinforcement to motivate and encourage independence.

•Why organization is difficult for individuals with ASD
•Strategies to implement at home for organization
•Strategies to implement in partnership with schools
•Systems of reinforcement to encourage independence
Who should attend?
Parents and school personnel of secondary school age students with ASD
Content level: Beginner
$135 - register before July 1, 2019
$155 - register on or after July 1, 2019
Cancellations received at least two business weeks prior to course start date are eligible to receive a full refund less a $20 administrative fee. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will forfeit the full registration fee. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend a class. UW Autism Center reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment, inclement weather, or other circumstances that would make the course non-viable. If UW Autism Center cancels a course, registrants will be notified within 24 hours of the first class date and offered a full refund or the option to transfer registration to another course.
