The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider course is designed to train healthcare professionals in managing patients with acute cardiac illnesses using the most current methods available. Information will be reviewed and practice time will be made available to enhance proficiency in the following modalities:
Course Completion Requirements: To receive a course completion card the student must: attend and participate in the entire course • demonstrate proficiency in CPR skills • pass and submit required pretest • pass required skills tests • pass required written test. This is a two-day course. Student must attend both days.
Students are required to have the current, 2015 AHA textbook for this course. If you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class, you do not need to purchase one. Textbooks are not available for purchase from SafeTec Training Services. Saint Francis Medical Center staff should see Tina Snyder in Staff Education to obtain a loaner textbook. Information for the required pretest is located in the textbook.
